Limor Hochberg, MS student in Applied Experimental and Engineering Psychology within COLA
Interests: engineering psychology, natural language processing, cognitive engineering and decision-making, human factors in healthcare
Description of research: Limor is currently working on analyzing diagnostic narratives for evidence of decision-making style. She is interested in discovering what linguistic markers are associated with intuitive and analytical modes of reasoning, as well as an individual's metacognitive awareness. Specifically, an individual can have a high level of metacognitive awareness, which means their confidence scores tends to be correlated with their performance, or a low level of metacognitive awareness, where there is a low level of correlation. she is also interested in the link between these variables: will individuals with higher metacognitive awareness show a preference for a specific mode of reasoning?
